Made of lightweight aluminum, the Metro C517-HFC-U C5? 1 Series ³/₄-height, non-insulated holding cabinet's exterior has a brushed finish that's resistant to scratches, fingerprints, and smudge marks. Resting atop an aluminum chassis and four 5-inch casters, this hot holding cabinet facilitates movement. When it's being loaded and unloaded, users can engage the unit's two locking brakes to prevent it from shifting or sliding. The hot holding cabinet's door is made of clear polycarbonate, and it's reversible, enabling the viewer to monitor the food inside.

The Metro C517-HFC-U uninsulated holding cabinet provides adjustable, universal wire slides to support pans of food as they wait to be served. Made of corrosion-resistant electroplated wire, the slides can be adjusted up and down in 1¹/₂-inch increments so users can place various pans inside the unit. Santoprene gaskets seal the edges of the door, trapping heat and reducing energy loss. For flexible installation, the door is reversible to open from either the left or the right.
