The Metro C5T9-ASL C5? T-Series mobile heated cabinet's ducted convection heating system circulates temperatures as high as 200 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure precooked foods are warm for serving. With a heating element built into the cabinet chamber, this system heats and adjusts temperature fluctuations rapidly to keep pace with consecutive uses. Operators can manipulate temperatures via the top-mounted, analog electromechanical control, and the analog thermometer displays a temperature readout, even if the unit is turned off or unplugged. Overall, the cabinet is equipped to warm 16 sheet pans or 32 steam pans.

Designed to endure heavy-duty use, the Metro C5T9-ASL heated cabinet is built with Transport Armour?, which includes features that protect the cabinet's exterior from dents, scuffs, and scratches. Polymer panels are built into the sides to shield the unit from door handles and panic bars, and they're equipped with molded-in hand holds that let operators guide the unit. The steel reinforced polymer handles work like bumpers if the unit crashes into a door or wall. Polyurethane insulation is foamed into the stainless steel construction to improve temperature retention and increase structural strength. This 30-inch-wide by ¹/₄-inch-deep by 73⁷/₈-inch-high unit is furnished with 6-inch swivel casters—two of which brake.
