Foil rope elements heat the shelves' bases, while top-mounted strip heaters direct heat toward the shelves' tops to eliminate cold spots that could affect food quality. These heating components can hold muffins, bagels, and sandwiches at safe temperatures for long periods of time. Both shelves are horizontal to support products evenly, and together, they accommodate (48) 4-inch-diameter sandwiches for businesses with moderate traffic.

To promote products at point-of-sale areas, the Nemco 6480-30 food display case countertop unit features a sleek stainless steel frame and clear tempered glass sides that lend a direct view of merchandised products. Two shatterproof bulbs highlight each shelf for additional visibility, and operators can separate foods with the adjustable divider rods to improve presentation.
