To minimize the environmental impact of the Scotsman NH1322A-32 nugget ice machine head, it uses R-404A refrigerant. The head is air cooled and can produce as much as 1,186 pounds of H² nugget ice per day in ideal conditions. Its exterior, evaporator, and auger are all constructed of durable stainless steel, and because it's part of the Prodigy Plus® series, it has sealed, maintenance-free bearings. AutoAlert® indicator lights brightly indicate its operating status as well as when it's time to sanitize or descale, and the unit-specific QR code included in the panel provides immediate access to manuals and warranty information.

To help prevent the growth of mold between cleanings, the Scotsman NH1322A-32 nugget ice machine head is equipped with AgION® antimicrobial protection guards, and the sealed refrigeration system prohibits access to airborne contaminants. The front panel of the machine head is self-aligning to simplify access to the head's internal components, and the air filter is on the front of the unit to streamline its replacement.
