Great for fast food joints, the Scotsman NS0622W-1 Prodigy Plus® nugget ice machine head produces 715 pounds of Original Chewable Ice® in 24 hours when incoming water is 50 degrees Fahrenheit and surrounding air is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This type of nugget ice is soft and displaces larger amounts of liquid than cubed ice, which can help save on drink costs. The unit uses R-404A refrigerant to preserve cool temperatures, and its sealed refrigeration system helps defend against airborne particulate contamination. Throughout operation, AutoAlert® indicating lights portray status updates, and operators have a direct view of these lights as they're built into the front of the unit.

The Scotsman NS0622W-1 ice machine head's water-cooled, self-contained condenser is front-breathing and can be installed in a variety of areas because it doesn't require side clearances. It measures 22⁷/₁₀ inches wide by 24²³/₂₅ inches deep by 23 inches high overall and is designed for use with an ice storage bin, which is sold separately. The unit is finished with stainless steel, and its auger and evaporator have a corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction for durability. To preserve unit quality, an antimicrobial protection agent built into the internal surfaces hinders bacterial growth between cleanings.
