The Hoshizaki DCM-500BWH-OS countertop ice and water dispenser makes 590 pounds of nugget ice per day. Nugget ice is a popular choice in commercial settings because customers enjoy chewing on it. After ice is made, the bin holds as much as 40 pounds for later use. This unit dispenses both ice and water with an LED sensor that detects when a cup is present. The refrigeration system is self-contained to eliminate cross contamination, and it uses R404A refrigerant to keep ice frozen.

To keep ice in the Hoshizaki DCM-500BWH-OS nugget ice and water dispenser clean, the unit is protected with H-GUARD Plus® antimicrobial, which slows the growth of bacteria, and it self-cleans for 20 minutes every 12 hours. The ice bin and exterior of the unit are made of stainless steel to resist corrosion and provide durability. To reduce the frequency of maintenance, it operates with an auger that has a greaseless bearing.
