The stainless steel platform is durable enough to withstand consecutive use, and it's mounted on stabilizing, nonskid feet. For accuracy, this unit includes an auto-tare function, an auto-hold mechanism, a low-battery indicator, and auto shut-off. Overall, it measures 12 inches wide by 12¹/₄ inches deep by 2¹/₈ inches high and can be powered with an AC adapter (included) or 6 AA batteries (not included).
