The True TMC-34-DS-SS milk cooler is insulated with foamed-in-place polyurethane, and the white vinyl exterior resists chipping and peeling. Stainless steel interior walls and reinforced floor resist denting from heavy use. Children in schools can access milk from both sides through stainless steel drop front and flip-top doors, and this unit can accept eight standard-size milk crates. A powder-coated frame rail creates structure along with the insulation.

Operators can set a temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit that is maintained by R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. Refrigerant flow is metered by the capillary tube system, removing heat from the cabinet while cool air is evenly moved around the cabinet with condenser and evaporator fan motors. Accessibility to the condensing unit is enabled since it slides out from behind the rear grille, and the True TMC-34-DS-SS milk cooler has an epoxy-coated evaporator that resists corrosion.

To improve unit operation, the condensing fan motor blow air toward the condensing coil for 20 seconds when the compressor turns on, reducing dirt, dust, and debris collection on the coil's surface. This self-cleaning mechanism helps the coil keep product cool for longer periods, and it doesn't have to use as much energy to operate. This mechanism should not replace preventive maintenance for the coil, compressor, or fan motor.
