The Continental D48N8-FB Designer Line sandwich/salad prep table's stainless steel structure and nylon cutting board withstand constant use because of their resistance to rust, scratches, and dents. This unit features two self-closing doors with a solid construction and magnetic gaskets, which enhance temperature retention; these doors are field reversible for versatile placement. The 13.4-cubic-foot interior has two epoxy-coated steel shelves, and the top compartment can accommodate eight sixth-size recessed pans for ingredient storage. Overall, this prep table measures 48 inches wide by 32³/₁₆ inches deep by 41 inches high.

The Continental D48N8-FB prep table's self-contained refrigeration system comes with an off-cycle defrost to reduce ice development and a hot gas condensate evaporator to collect and get rid of accumulated water. To continuously cool products between 33 and 41 degrees Fahrenheit, this unit operates with R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant and is insulated with polyurethane foam. The unit's holding temperature is set via the digital controller featuring a temperature display for monitoring.
