Part of the Steelheart series, the Hoshizaki SR72B-24M mega top prep refrigerator sports a corrosion-resistant stainless steel body with an interior and exterior front, sides, and covers. Both the structure of the unit and its rear-located, self-contained refrigeration system are strong. This system features an enamel-covered evaporator that removes harmful hot gas condensate, capillary tubing which forces hot air out with environmentally friendly refrigerant, and an air distribution center to evenly fill the unit with cold temperatures.

The Hoshizaki SR72B-24M food prep table's lower half is ideal for stocking backups, additional sauces, and spare produce. The three stainless steel doors adorning this section create a strong seal with removable magnetic gaskets, remain open at 90 degrees for added convenience, and automatically shut when opened to lesser angles. This 18-cubic-foot cavity features three epoxy-coated shelves that can be adjusted by half-inch increments to optimize the space. A 72-inch polyethylene cutting board located above functions as a clean, smooth surface upon which line cooks can create delicious cold-cut subs or Chinese chicken salads. During busy shifts, cooks can lift the hinged covers over the top section to pull needed ingredients from the 24 poly pans housed inside. Adaptor bars hold the pans above the cool surface, preserving the quality of various toppings and fillings. Four 6-inch casters are fixed to the bottom for simple mobility and two lock for stationary placement.
