If the unit approaches hazardous temperatures, an alarm will sound to notify users. To prevent excessive cold air loss, the unit's four solid half doors divide the cabinet space. They also self-close and lock to prevent theft and tampering.

For durability and corrosion resistance, the Continental 2FESNSSHD reach-in freezer is constructed of stainless steel. The refrigeration system is top mounted for easy access and uses R290 refrigerant, an environmentally safe hydrocarbon. The electronic evaporator reduces the humidity in the cabinet while the automatic defrost prevents ice from forming.
