This unit relies on R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, an eco-friendly alternative to traditional refrigerants, to maintain food-safe temperatures. To help maintain these temperatures, this unit has 3 inches of polyurethane insulation between its metal paneling. To prevent ice buildup, this unit has an automatic defrost.
