Designed to store a 72-inch cart full of prepared food, the Continental D1FINSAE roll-in freezer's interior spans 34 cubic feet and is fitted with a solid door to help lock in cold conditions. The cabinet is made with a stainless steel exterior and aluminum interior, and between the paneling is 3 inches of polyurethane foam insulation. A stainless steel ramp is provided for smoothly loading the rack, and this ramp can be removed as needed.

The Continental D1FINSAE one-section freezer's self-contained refrigeration system sits atop the cabinet and utilizes R290 refrigerant, which is an environmentally friendly hydrocarbon. To reduce excessive water collection, the hot-gas condensate evaporator functions automatically, while the off-cycle defrost runs intermittently to prevent ice from forming on vital components. When deep cleaning is needed, the door gasket is made to detach and reattach magnetically.
