For environmentally safe operation, the Continental D1RXNSSHD reach-in refrigerator's self-contained refrigeration system cools with R-290 refrigerant. The off-cycle defrost thaws ice on the coils and components, while the condensate evaporator eliminates excess moisture. The electronic controller enables precise temperature adjustment, and it includes a high/low alarm that audibly indicates when the unit has reached an unsafe range.

From the Designer Line series, the Continental D1RXNSSGDHD one-section reach-in unit is purposed for heavy use with its stainless steel construction, and the unit is insulated with polyurethane for temperature holding. The solid, half-height doors are equipped with Santoprene® door gaskets as another precaution to keep temperatures contained. These doors lock to minimize tampering or theft of the contents held inside.
