As part of the Designer line, the Continental D2FSNHD two-section freezer features a shallow depth with an overall size of 52 inches wide by 29¹/₂ inches deep by 86³/₄ inches high. The cabinet's front is made of stainless steel, while the side and interior are aluminum; both metals are damage resistant and durable in commercial settings. For stability and to enable airflow around the cabinet, the unit stands on four 6 inch stainless steel legs.

To set the desired operating temperature from -10 to 0 degrees Fahrenheit, users must access the Continental D2FSNHD reach-in freezer's electronic controller. The self-contained refrigeration system is mounted atop the cabinet, positioned away from floor debris, and utilizes R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. To reduce humidity within the cabinet, the condensate evaporator functions automatically, and the electronic defrost system runs automatically to prevent ice development. The interior spans 32 cubic feet and holds six steel shelves.
