The Hoshizaki R3A-HS reach-in refrigerator is a three-section unit, so it has a significant amount of storage space that is ideal for bulk goods storage in restaurants with high traffic. A total of nine shelves across the sections can be adjusted to accommodate containers and products of larger or smaller sizes. In order to reduce the loss of chilled air from the cabinet during item retrieval, the refrigerator's doors are solid half doors.

The Hoshizaki R3A-HS three-section refrigerator has a stainless steel interior that holds up well against rust and corrosion as well as dinging and scraping from the transfer of stored items. Saving establishments money over the use of conventional lighting, the interior is fitted with LED lighting. To maximize cold retention, the cabinet is foamed with polyurethane insulation.
