The True STA2RPT-2G-2G-HC pass-thru two-section refrigerator uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to keep the temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit; this type of refrigerant is better for the environment than traditional options. Condenser and evaporator fan motors circulate cold air throughout the cabinet to ensure the temperature is consistent. These fans have efficient motors that are designed to reduce the amount of energy used and heat produced. Mounted on top of the cabinet, the refrigeration system is isolated from dirt and debris on the floor; however, it is more difficult to reach for servicing.

The fan motor blows in reverse for 20 seconds each time the compressor starts up, removing excess dust and debris from the condensing coil. This feature as well as routine maintenance keeps the coil clean to reduce energy consumption and improve product temperatures. It also extends the unit's life and improves its efficiency.

To create a pass-thru design, the refrigerator has two doors on the front and two doors on the rear. The glass in the doors enables users to find what they are looking for before opening the unit. Since the glass is double paned and thermal insulated, it does not let heat inside the cabinet. With a self-closing design, the doors keep cold air around stored items. They can stay open past 120 degrees for cabinet cleaning and product stocking, and they have locks to protect stored items from theft and tampering.

Each section in the refrigerator has three chrome-plated wire shelves, which resist corrosion and encourage uniform airflow around stored products. Constructed of stainless steel and aluminum, the interior is strong and rust resistant. This easy-to-clean material is also used on the exterior. This True STA2RPT-2G-2G-HC two-section reach-in refrigerator has foamed-in-place insulation in the doors and cabinet that prevents heat transfer and enhances structural strength. Castors are mounted on the refrigerator and, on the front set, locks keep the unit in place.
