The True STA3R-3G-HC three-section reach-in refrigerator has a top-mounted refrigeration system that operates away from floor debris and dust that collects on the floor. This placement maximizes interior space, though components are harder to access than with a bottom-mounted system. Air is circulated throughout the cabinet by fans, and their motors are electronically commutated, reducing energy use and heat production. This unit operates from 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, while a display on the exterior shows the temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius.

Foamed-in-place insulation retains cold air and creates structural strength in the cabinet. Made of stainless steel and aluminum, the interior is durable and corrosion resistant, while the exterior is made of strong stainless steel to ease cleaning. In the cabinet, nine shelves hold stored items, promoting air flow around the product with a wire design. LED lighting is used in the cabinet to increase the visibility of stored items.

Employees can see into the True STA3R-3G-HC three-section reach-in refrigerator since it has three double-pane glass doors. These doors are insulated to retain cold air and have a self-closing design that prevents them from being accidentally left open. A stay-open feature keeps the doors open past 120 degrees, so employees can conveniently stock product into the cabinet. Magnetic gaskets seal the doors to the frame, and these gaskets are removable without tools.
