In the True STG2RPT-2S-2G-HC two-section reach-in refrigerator, six wire shelves hold stored items. These shelves have gaps in them to encourage complete air circulation for even distribution, and a PVC coating provides corrosion resistance. Since the interior and exterior are made of stainless steel and aluminum, they resist corrosion and scratches. Polyurethane insulation is foamed in place in the refrigerator, providing cold air retention and enhancing structural strength.

With a pass-thru design, the refrigerator has front and rear doors. Its front doors are stainless steel, while the rear doors have double-pane, thermal-insulated glass windows. Stainless steel doors reduce heat transfer, though they do not provide visibility like glass doors. All four doors have a self-closing design that contains cold air, and past 120 degrees, they stay open for stocking. Operators can lock the cabinet to prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing stored items.

Temperatures in the True STG2RPT-2S-2G-HC two-section pass-thru refrigerator can be set from 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, and, adjustable with the electronic controller, the temperature appears on the external display in Fahrenheit or Celsius. The refrigeration system is top mounted, so it does not operate close to dirt and debris that could be sucked into the components. Using a reverse blowing mechanism, the condensing fan motor directs air toward the condensing coil to remove debris every time the compressor turns on. A cleaner coil surface enables the coil to keep product cool with less energy usage, and it can help increase overall unit lifespan.
