The True STR1RPT-1G-1S-HC Spec Series® pass-thru refrigerator has doors on the front and back, so kitchen staff can load one side while servers access food from the other. Each door is self-closing to prevent large temperature fluctuations, and they both stay open past 120 degrees for efficient product stocking. Their heavy-duty handles can withstand opening and closing repeatedly. To prevent heat from seeping in around the doors, magnetic gaskets snap into the door frames. Likewise, polyurethane insulation keeps heat from moving through the walls. The glass door on the front side is thermal insulated to retain cold temperatures, and the solid stainless steel door on the back provides great insulation.

The True STR1RPT-1G-1S-HC pass-thru refrigerator comes with three adjustable shelves to support product. These shelves have a wire design that permits cold air to circulate and evenly cool contents. LED lights shine on products, ensuring they are visible from the front without opening the door. Using eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, the refrigeration system chills products. Since all parts are held in a single location, components can be conveniently accessed for servicing. Its electronically commutated evaporator and condenser fan motors operate more efficiently than traditional options, maintaining a set cabinet temperature between 33 and 38 degrees while producing little heat and saving energy.

Each time the unit's compressor is turned on, its condensing fan motor blows in a reverse direction for 20 seconds, blowing off buildup of debris on the condensing coil. This consistent mechanism helps maintain a clean coil, enabling it to work more efficiently with less energy usage. However, preventive maintenance practices are still required to ensure the coil is operating correctly over time.
