An environmentally friendly unit, the True STR2RPT-2HG/2HS-2G-HC pass-thru refrigerator cools with natural R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. The refrigeration system is mounted at the top to keep it away from dust and debris from the floor, and to streamline installation, it's self-contained. Employees can use digital controls to adjust the temperature from 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit, while polyurethane insulation prevents cold air from escaping. To maintain an efficient condensing coil, this unit's compressor fan motor blows in a reverse direction for 20 sesconds, removing dust and debris. This technique helps keep the coil clean, which helps keep temperatures as cool as desired. However, this fan motor should not replace preventative maintenance.

The True STR2RPT-2HG/2HS-2G-HC two-section refrigerator has self-closing doors on the front and rear. Four of the drawers are glass so employees can view product inside the cabinet, which is illuminated with LED lights to brighten the interior. At the end of a shift, the doors can be locked to prevent items from being stolen, and while the refrigerator is loaded, the doors can be propped open to prevent slamming. If this unit needs to be relocated, it can be rolled on its 5-inch castors.
