The True STR2RPT-4HG-2G-HC Spec Series® two-section pass-thru refrigerator uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to maintain a set temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Operators can adjust the temperature electronically and monitor it on the exterior digital display. Fan motors in the unit are electronically commutated, moving cold air consistently without wasting energy or producing excess heat. Since the system is top mounted, it does not suck in dirt and debris from the floor, though it is close to grease in the air. To help manage dirt and dust collection on the condensing coil, this unit's fan motor blows in a reverse direction for 20 seconds when the unit is first turned on, removing buildup. With a clean condensing coil, energy consumption is reduced, and product temperature is better maintained. However, this technology should not replace common maintenance.

Doors on the front and rear provide interior access from either side, meaning the refrigerator can be used to connect the back and front of the house. Half front doors let out less cold air than the full back doors, and all doors are double-pane, thermal-insulated glass, so staff members can see the stored items without letting heat in. The self-closing doors retain cold air, while staying open past 120 degrees for stocking.

Product in the True STR2RPT-4HG-2G-HC two-section pass-thru refrigerator can be stored on six adjustable, chrome shelves, which sit under LED lights to ensure employees can quickly locate items. Constructed of stainless steel, the interior and exterior are strong, rust resistant, and simplify cleaning. Foamed-in-place polyurethane cabinet prevents cold air from leaking out and enhances structural strength. Castors on the unit provide mobility, so users can clean underneath it, and the front set locks in place.
