The True T-12F-HC one-section reach-in freezer uses a capillary tube system and R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to keep cabinet temperatures around -10 degrees Fahrenheit, which is ideal for holding both ice cream and frozen foods. Large fan blades move high volumes of air through the cabinet to ensure all products are evenly chilled. The condenser fan motor runs in its reverse mode for 20 seconds upon start up, removing excess dust, debris, and dirt from the condensing coil. When this integral component is regularly cleaned, it promotes reliable, efficient system operation. This self-cleaning also reduces energy consumption and helps to maintain consistent, cold storage temperatures. While this reversing fan motor feature doesn't replace routine preventative maintenance, it is engineered to prolong the life of the unit. The condensing unit is mounted at the bottom for accessibility, and an automatic defrost system turns on at a set time and turns off after the ideal temperature is reached in order to save energy.

The exterior is constructed of aluminum and stainless steel for durability, and the clear-coat aluminum interior will not easily scratch or stain. Cold air is retained since the walls are insulated with foamed-in-place polyurethane. Magnetic gaskets around the stainless steel door reduce the risk of leaks, and the door closes by itself to prevent air from escaping. The door is hinged on the right and opens on the left. The True T-12F-HC reach-in freezer includes three PVC-coated shelves that are adjustable in ¹/₂-inch increments.
