This True TS-23F-HC reach-in freezer is ideal for small venues or businesses with limited available space, and its solid stainless steel door has a durable door hinge with a permanently attached handle. Because the handle is recessed, it lowers the risk of denting nearby equipment. To resist corrosion, the exterior is constructed of stainless steel with a GalFan-coated steel back, while the interior is made of stainless steel, which is scratch and rust resistant. Stability is provided by the steel frame rail, and structure is created by the foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. Three PVC-coated shelves can be adjusted in ¹/₂-inch increments to accommodate different sizes of products.

Because the refrigeration system is bottom mounted, users can store rarely used supplies on top of the unit. This low placement also lifts the interior floor, so stooping is not needed to reach products. Frozen foods are kept at -10 degrees Fahrenheit by the R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant and a capillary tube system. A consistent airflow is created with the reliable evaporator and condenser fans, and to prevent products from blocking the airflow, guards are in the back of the cabinet. The automatic defroster ensures the True TS-23F-HC reach-in freezer runs properly and reduces the need for excessive maintenance.

When the condenser fan motor in this unit starts up, it reverses for 20 seconds to blow debris, dust, and dirt off the condensing coil. Because this coil is integral to system operation, it should be cleaned regularly for reliable and efficient functioning. This self-cleaning feature also helps to maintain cold, consistent cabinet storage temperatures. Even though this reversing motor doesn't eliminate the need for routine preventative maintenance, it extends the units lifespan and reduces energy use.
