To withstand heavy use, the True TS-49-4-HC reach-in refrigerator has a stainless steel and GalFan-coated steel exterior while four solid, half doors have firmly attached handles and standard locks. Each door closes by itself, limiting how much cold air escapes, and they stay open past 90 degrees for unhindered access. Stainless steel makes up the interior of the cabinet and provides a rust-resistant area to store items. Its floor is raised, helping users reach products on the bottom, and tall products can fit inside by adjusting or removing the PVC-coated shelves.

Temperatures in the True TS-49-4-HC two-section refrigerator range from 33 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit and are maintained by capillary tubes, which control the flow of R290 refrigerant. After cold air is created, fans circulate air through the cabinet and around stored products. A self-contained, bottom-mounted condenser keeps the internal components accessible for repair and enables storage on top of the refrigerator.

This unit's condensing fan motor automatically cleans off built-up debris from the condensing coil when the compressor is turned on, blowing in an opposite direction for 20 seconds. This mechanism works in tandem with general maintenance practices to ensure the coil is working properly over time.
