While the exterior is made of stainless steel, the interior is made of aluminum€”both metals are durable and corrosion resistant. Between the metal panels is 2 inches of polyurethane foam. These points, combined with the unit's solid door, enable the it to keep cold air inside the unit.

The interior of the Continental 1RSENSA slim reach-in refrigerator spans 15 cubic feet and is fitted with five epoxy-coated shelves lit with LED lighting. Atop the unit is the compressor, which is positioned to prevent debris build up, and the digital controls that provide access to the basic functions of the unit, such as temperature adjustment and the alarm system. For mobility when cleaning is needed, the full unit sits on four casters.
