Vulcan VG40 40 Gal. Tilt Skillet - Open Base, Strainer, Liquid Propane
The Vulcan VG40 tilting skillet can hold 40 gallons of meat, vegetables, and other foods for a variety of cooking methods. The front, back, and sides are constructed of stainless steel, providing structural strength and durability. The pan is made of polished stainless steel, and it has coved corners to simplify cleaning. Embossed gallon markings on the pan enable the user to properly measure the pan's contents. The cooking surface is made of stainless steel and is bonded to a steel plate for reinforcement. Heating elements embedded in the cooking surface distribute even heat.
The Vulcan VG40 braising pan must be tilted manually using the anti-jam, pan-lifting mechanism with its removable handle. The pan tilts to a position that fully empties the pan contents with 30 crank revolutions, and the formed lip enables liquid to be poured smoothly. A removable strainer is integrated into the lip to separate solid and liquid product when necessary. The spring-assisted cover is constructed of stainless steel and has a lip that catches condensate. The solid-state temperature controls are housed in a water-tight enclosure and can be adjusted between 50 and 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
