The Equipex GED10 double waffle maker has two individually controlled sides, each with its own controls consisting of an on/off switch, heat knob, and indicator lights. As the unit is turned on, the green light illuminates, while the red light illuminates only when the unit is heating up. When the plates are ready to make waffles, the red light will go out, though during cooking, it might turn on again as the elements add heat to bring the plates back up to temperature.

This Equipex GED10 Brussels waffle baker simplifies the cleaning process, and its plates are made of cast iron which, when seasoned, prevents sticking. A rim around the plate pattern helps contain the batter, keeping it between the plates, however if it does gush out, the drip pan catches it before it falls to the counter. Both the drip pan and the base are constructed of smooth stainless steel and can be wiped clean with ease.
