Cleveland KDL-40 40 gal Steam Kettle - Stationary, 2/3 Jacket, Direct Steam
To provide water for steam, the Cleveland KDL-40 steam kettle includes a faucet mounting bracket. It doesn't tilt, so it includes a 2-inch tangent draw-off valve to draw broth from the kettle without splashing. It also has a drain strainer to remove liquids while solid food remains in the kettle. For stability, its open base has three legs and adjustable flanged feet that can be bolted down to prevent spills and wobbling. To heat the 40-gallon-capacity kettle, it must be connected to an external boiler that provides direct steam; this eliminates the need for an electrical or gas source.
The Cleveland KDL-40 stationary steam kettle has a domed spring-assist cover that rotates to facilitate product retrieval. The kettle operates with a two-thirds steam jacket that fills most of its interior for uniform heating. This unit is ideal for preparing broth, chili, and stew with no hot or cold spots for consistent quality. Due to its stainless steel construction, the exterior finish is durable and corrosion resistant.
