This floor-model unit measures 30 3/4 inches wide by 40 inches deep by 40 inches high and is furnished with an open, tri-leg base and flanged feet for stabilization. It accommodates 40 gallons of product to heat large batches of soups and stews, and to streamline removal, the 2-inch-diameter, tangent draw-off valve expels product.

A two-thirds steam jacket lines the Cleveland KEL40 steam kettle's interior, and its self-contained system is easier to install than a direct-steam unit, which requires an external water source. The jacket is filled with treated water and doesn't require venting or refilling. For consistent results over time, its heating elements are welded into the unit. Operators can adjust temperatures between 145 and 260 degrees Fahrenheit with the solid-state temperature controls. These controls also ensure temperature variance within 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve best results. To ensure the unit is functioning correctly, an LED indicator light glows while the kettle is heating, while a separate light indicates low-water levels.
