With a 12-second toasting time, the Prince Castle 297-T12P Slim-Line vertical toaster can produce 2,000 buns per hour, with buns coming into contact with a platen that caramelizes their surface as they run through the unit. Caramelization on the bun ensures it won't get soggy when lettuce, tomatoes, and condiments are added. The unit is designed to operate quickly with hot temperatures and an adjustable thermostat.

The heavy-duty motor and high-temperature platens are durable and reliable. With an 8³/₁₀-inch depth, the Prince Castle 297-T12P contact toaster doesn't require much space on countertops, providing room for prepping and plating in the front. Consisting of a stainless steel clamp and two nonstick sheets, a release sheet kit is included with the unit to fit over the platens, preventing product from sticking and keeping the toaster clean.
