In an hour, the Hatco TK-100 Toast King® conveyor toaster can produce 1,000 slices of toast, accommodating three slices of bread, buns, or Texas toast side by side. Buns as wide as 5¹/₂ inches and toast as thick as 1¹/₄ inches fit in the unit, and operators can change the conveyor speed to adjust the browning level, rather than changing the temperature. For deeper browning, a slow speed will keep the bread on the conveyor longer. On the front, the operator can use the toast color selector and variable speed knobs to adjust how long the product is inside the toaster. After bread is toasted, it sits on a heated, aluminum plate that keeps it warm and dry. To protect against burnout, the heating elements are sheathed in metal, while the Hatco TK-100 vertical conveyor toaster is made of heavy-duty stainless steel.
