In an hour, the Prince Castle 297-T20 Slim-Line contact toaster can produce 1,400 buns, toasting each bun in 20 seconds. With contact toasting, the surface of the bun is caramelized, and through this caramelization of sugars, the bun surface seals to prevent sogginess from vegetables and condiments. Operators can adjust the thermostat and the compression level for the buns, and because the platen has two levels, it browns bun heels and bun crowns at the same time.

Inside the Prince Castle 297-T20 vertical toaster, the chain assembly self-adjusts based on the products to prevent clogging. Supporting heavy-duty use, the unit's motor is durable, and the platens withstand high temperatures. Included is a release sheet kit that prevents buns from sticking to the internal components, simplifying cleaning and maintaining the toaster.
