For enhanced storage space that doesn't occupy additional floorspace, the Hoshizaki EUF48A Economy commercial freezer is a reach-in, two-section unit measuring 47³/₄ inches wide by 31¹/₄ inches deep 33³/₄ inches tall to fit beneath counters. To ease transport for cleaning or maintenance, this unit is outfitted with smooth-rolling 4-inch casters, two of which are built with brakes to secure the freezer in place during use. In addition to the exterior's stainless steel top, front, and sides, the interior floor is also made of stainless steel, while the top, sides, and rear are made of simple-to-clean aluminum.

Each section in the Hoshizaki EUF48A undercounter freezer has a corresponding solid stainless steel door that remains in place when fully open to ease loading and retrieval. When partially opened, these doors self-close to minimize energy consumption. This unit provides 12.09 cubic feet of interior storage and features two epoxy-coated, heavy-duty gray shelves that can be raised or lowered by ¹/₂ an inch. The self-contained, rear-mounted refrigeration system uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to generate and retain temperatures from -5 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit, maintaining NSF-7 temperatures in ambient temperatures as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit. For uniform air movement, this cabinet is equipped with an innovative air distribution system.
