The Hoshizaki ULR60B Steelheart undercounter refrigerator's refrigeration system is side mounted so it's simple to service. A digital display that's located on the exterior communicates the current temperature. Via the electronic controller, users can adjust the temperature range from 28 to 45 degrees to achieve ideal temperature conditions. The capillary tubes utilize R290 refrigerant for environment safe operation, and the defrost system works to thaw ice on the evaporator coil. As condensate collects, the non-electric evaporation system handles excess moisture buildup.

The Hoshizaki ULR60B undercounter refrigerator has a 17.22-cubic-foot two-section cabinet space; the unit holds four adjustable shelves total. The shelves are supported with aluminum pilasters, which can be adjusted in ¹/₂-inch increments. It features a stainless steel construction and coated back and bottom panels for durability and resistance to corrosion. To reduce recovery times as the dual doors are frequently opened, it's insulated with 2-inch-thick polyurethane foam insulation.
