It cools with a self-contained, rear-mounted refrigeration system that utilizes R290 refrigerant—a natural hydrocarbon that is safe for the environment. Cold air is retained from the insulated sub-top and the magnetic gaskets positioned around every drawer.

The Beverage Air UCRD48AHC-4 undercounter refrigerator's four drawers glide on telescoping slides. To prevent the drawers from sliding out of the unit completely, the slides have locking mechanisms. This unit's exterior is made of durable, rust-resistant stainless steel and its interior has an aluminum liner to protect it from corrosion. It can be maneuvered throughout the kitchen on 6-inch casters, two of which have brakes for stabilization.
