The Hoshizaki ULR46B Steelheart refrigerator offers a compact and mobile design that's great for packed spaces because it fits under the counter. Offering medium-volume storage, this unit holds two adjustable shelves in its 11.78-cubic-foot compartment. The shelves are intended to be mounted on aluminum pilasters, which are spaced in ¹/₂-inch increments. The top, bottom, and sides are made of stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance, and the back and bottom are made of coated steel. The cabinet is insulated with 2-inch-thick foamed insulation to keep hot air out, maintaining consistent internal temperatures. To fit various floor plans, it sits on six 4-inch stem casters. The single, solid door constructed to the cabinet has a steeped design to help preserve the quality of its snap-in door gasket; the door also utilizes a self-closing design to reduce cold air loss.

The Hoshizaki ULR46B undercounter refrigerator's refrigeration system is side mounted. For eco-friendly operation, this unit is equipped with capillary tubes to use R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. The off-cycle defrost system works to inhibit ice accumulation, and the non-electric evaporation system handles excess condensate. Via the temperature controller with display, employees can adjust and track temperatures from 28 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
