The Hoshizaki ULR60B-D2 undercounter refrigerator has a unique design that consists of one door and two drawers. The 17.22-cubic-foot space holds two adjustable shelves behind the door section, and the drawers are suited for one 12-inch by 10-inch by 6-inch and two fourth-size pans per drawer; the pans are supplied by others. For heavy weight bearing, the drawer features 14-gauge stainless steel slides and nylon rollers. The door is field reversible for left or right hinging, and for an airtight seal that helps stop cold air from escaping, the drawers and door feature snap-in magnetic door gaskets. For useful durability, the top, front, and sides are made of quality stainless steel, while the back and bottom feature a coated steel construction. To fit various floor plans, it sits on 4-inch casters with two brakes.

The Hoshizaki ULR60B-D2 refrigerator has a side-mounted and self-contained refrigeration system. Via its capillary tubes, this refrigeration system controls the flow of R290 refrigerant for environment-safe operation. Great for inhibiting frost accumulation, this unit features an off-cycle defrost system, and the evaporator coil is E-coated to resist environmental conditions. Moisture from the defrost system is handled with the non-electric evaporation system. For seamless operation, it features an electronic controller with an adjustable range from 28 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
