To hold frozen foods at -10 degrees Fahrenheit, the Amerikooler QF081077**FBSM indoor walk-in freezer comes with the Heatcraft Bohn PT0069LBNEMSA refrigeration system, which combines a unit cooler and condensing unit to reduce the required refrigerant charge and ease setup. While this 55-inch-wide by 49¹/₂-inch-deep by 32²/₅-inch-tall unit can be placed on top of the box to conserve storage space, it shouldn't be exposed to ambient temperatures hotter than 90 degrees Fahrenheit. To retain generated temperatures, the unit's panels are insulated with 4-inch-thick AK-XPS4 rigid foam, which provides R-32 thermal resistance. For efficiency, the refrigeration system is built with microchannel coil technology, a two-speed evaporator fan motor, and an electric defrost mechanism.

For simple setup, this unit comes with an installation instruction and hardware kit, including PVC press fit caps, a hex wrench, a shop drawing, and detailed installation instructions. Its wall, ceiling, and floor panels sport tongue-and-groove designs that can be interconnected with the cam-action locking system and compression gaskets. For lasting corrosion resistance, the ceiling and wall panels are laminated with stucco-embossed Acrylume® coating. Because the Amerikooler QF081077**FBSM walk-in freezer's 76-inch-tall door is built with spring-assisted super cam-rise hinges, a three-sided magnetic gasket, and a door closer, it opens and closes smoothly. To prevent the door's seal from frosting over, a temperature-controlled heater wire is built into the door. Inside the unit, an LED light brightens the space, while a digital thermometer provides an accurate temperature readout. To account for changes in pressure due to temperature fluctuations, a heated pressure relief vent is mounted on the door jamb. Operators can lock the keyed deadbolt handle after business hours, and to minimize the risk of staff becoming trapped inside the unit, it's built with an inside safety release mechanism.
