Return Policy

It is in the sole discretion of City Food Equipment whether to accept the return of an item. We have a seven (7) day return policy, which means you have seven (7) days after placing your order or receiving your items to request a return minus a 30% restocking fee and any shipping charges. Excluding defective merchandise - All returned items must be returned unused, sealed, complete in original packaging with instructions and all accessories, in working order, and in new condition.

Items sent back to City Food Equipment or a Manufacturer without first requesting a return through our Customer Service Department will not be accepted.

No returns accepted on special order items. A special order item is such that it is not commercially available off-the-shelf (COT), and that which it is manufactured to order by the product manufacture and/or that which it is a custom configuration. A special order item may be identified at the item's product page on our website, if in doubt when ordering, please contact City Food Equipment before placing an order.

Items Shipped From City Food Equipment Warehouses

All returned items must be returned unused, sealed, complete in original packaging with instructions and all accessories, in working order, and in new condition

Clearance items and 'scratch and dent' items are not returnable.

Items Shipped Directly From The Manufacturer

Only commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items shipped directly from the manufacturer may be returned. All returned items must be returned unused, sealed, complete in original packaging with instructions and all accessories, in working order, and in new condition. All returns are subject to the manufacturer's return policy. Returns are subject to a minimum 30% restocking fee or the manufacturer's restocking fee if different.

Please contact our City Food Equipment Customer Service Department at sales@cityfoodequipment to initiate a return to the manufacture.

Items sent back to a Manufacturer for a return without first requesting a return through City Food Customer Service Department will not be accepted.

Special Order Items – No returns accepted on special order items. A special order item is such that it is not commercially available off-the-shelf (COT), and that which it is manufactured to order by the product manufacture and/or that which it is a custom configuration. Defective Item Return

Damaged Shipment

Please inspect your order upon reception, should you see any damage to the packaging or the item, please REFUSE the item, note it on the BOL (Bill of Lading), write rejected/damaged, and send the unit back with the driver. We ask that you take pictures of all the damages, it helps us to file a claim and get you a quicker refund. Buyer must contact City Food Equipment within forty-eight (48) of refusing the delivery of the damaged item.

Defective Item

If an item is defective, the buyer must contact City Food Equipment within forty-eight (48) hours of taking delivery of the item. Buyer will be issued a Return Authorization ("RA") number, a call tag will be given, and the buyer must return the defective item to City Food Equipment within five (5) days of the issuance of the RA number. City Food Equipment will inspect the item upon its receipt, and it is in the sole discretion of City Food Equipment if the item shall be considered defective. If City Food Equipment deems the item to be defective, City Food Equipment will work to promptly exchange the item. If an exchange is not feasible for City Food Equipment, then City Food Equipment will credit the buyer's account the amount paid for the item. If City Food Equipment deems an item to be non­defective, it is in the sole discretion of City Food Equipment to accept the return of the item, and restocking fees will apply.

Return Shipping Fees

All shipping fees are the buyer’s responsibility (To and From). These fees may be applied after the return has been completed.

Return Process

To start a return, contact City Food Equipment Customer Service at sales@cityfoodequipment.com. If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package.

Refunds

Upon receipt and inspection of returned items, the buyer’s credit card will be credited for the amount paid for the item minus the applicable restocking fees plus all shipping charges.

Why do we charge restocking fees? The reason is simple: to keep prices as low as possible for you! When an item is returned, there are a lot of costs associated with processing the return. Companies that do not charge restocking fees simply pass the costs of their Returns Department onto their customers through higher prices. Instead of raising our prices and charging every customer for frivolous returns costs, we only charge a restocking fee for items that are returned to us. The industry standard for restocking fees is 30%.
