Scales won't build up on significant filter parts because it has a built-in scale inhibitor designed to ensure functional operation over time. With a 5-gallon-per-minute flow rate, it has a 54,000-gallon capacity. An encapsulated exterior prevents the contamination of filter media, simplifying filter replacement.
