The AccuTemp EGF2083B2450-S2 Accu-Steam™ EG Series griddle uses electricity to produce steam that can heat the griddle as high as 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Steam forms in a heated vacuum chamber with chemically pure water, heating the griddle from 200 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Meaning most heat is retained throughout cooking, temperature varies about 5 degrees Fahrenheit across the 23⁹/₁₀-inch-wide cooking surface. The large surface area and effective heating methods permit high volumes of the same food to be cooked simultaneously, and different foods can be cooked back-to-back. Best for cooking meats, sandwiches, and breakfast items, this griddle is versatile for a wide range of food. Users set the temperature on the digital thermostat, and three preset temperatures can be entered for common items. When the griddle is warming, a heating indicator light will turn on, and if it gets too hot, the over-temperature indicator light will alert the operator. Temperatures and foods can be protected with manager mode, which locks temperature controls to prevent tampering.

The ³/₁₆-inch-thick steel griddle plate is surrounded by rear and side splashes built into the AccuTemp EGF2083B2450-S2 Accu-Steam EG Series griddle. Lessening cleanup needs, food, grease, and oil are contained inside the griddle so they won't spill out onto the floor. With grease contained in a specific area, it can pool into the grease trough, drain down the drop chute, and collect in the 5-quart grease pan to be dumped and cleaned. Constructed of stainless steel, the griddle simplifies cleaning since its smooth surface can quickly be wiped down. This griddle is mounted on a mobile stand for transport to support changing kitchen needs. Four wheels are attached to the posts for smooth turns, reversal, and parking.
