The Antunes VCT-50-9200600 bun grill has a hot platen inside, so buns will make contact with it when moving through the toasting chamber. As they touch the surface, sugars in the bread caramelize, creating a firm structure that supports condiments, vegetables, and other moist product. Per hour, the toaster can brown 1,400 bun slices, accommodating bun crowns and heels, also referred to as bun tops and bottoms. These buns should be between ¹/₂ inch thick and ⁷/₈ inch thick, so they can fit through the feeder opening, and for the crowns and heels, the compression adjustment in the toaster is separate. With the vertical design, the Antunes VCT-50-9200600 contact toaster does not take up as much space as horizontal units, and because it is made of stainless steel, it resists scratching, denting, and rusting.
