Each section in the Beverage Air FB49HC-1S two-section reach-in freezer has three coated, corrosion-resistant wire shelves. Their design promotes complete, even airflow to consistently cool the cabinet, which is illuminated by LED lights, ensuring users can find what they are looking for. This two-section unit has two doors, and both of them stay open past 120 degrees so employees can stock the cabinet. At less than 120 degrees, the doors self-close to retain cold air. Door locks protect stored items.

The temperature in the freezer stays at or below 0 degrees Fahrenheit because the refrigeration system uses eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant and an automatic defrost system to remove frost buildup. Because the system is mounted in the bottom of the Beverage Air FB49HC-1S two-section reach-in freezer, it operates in a cool area of the kitchen, but it is more susceptible to damage from flour and other debris being sucked into the condenser than top-mounted units. Reaching the components for maintenance is convenient since they are behind the removable, one-piece grille.
