Designed with functionality and safety in mind, the Bizerba GSPHDIW-90 deli slicer pairs its high incline 25-degree carriage and 40-degree angled gravity feeding tray with essential features, such as a thumb guard and removable pusher plate. Its seamless anodized aluminum construction ensures its body is not only durable, but simple to clean as well; the cleaning process is quickened because of the food debris deflector. Meant for countertop use, the unit measures 31⁴/₅ inches long by 35⁷/₁₀ inches wide by 24⁴/₅ inches high, features a 6-foot cord, and rests on rubber feet. This countertop design is further heightened by its low-profile food fence that ensures customers can see their cuts of meat being sliced right in front of them. The unit can adjust its slice thickness to 24 millimeters thick, and the unit's integrated portion scale can detect weights as large as 6³/₅ lbs.; it can be adjusted in intervals as small as 0.005 pounds. The unit also has an auto alert to let operators know when a desired weight has been hit.

To maintain the sharpness of its 13-inch blade, the Bizerba GSPHDIW-90 meat slicer comes with a sharpening unit that attaches directly to the blade using its spring-lock dial and automatically sharpens as it runs. Its motor is belt fed and operates between 160-300 RPM. The speed of the motor and blade can be quickly adjusted using the touch screen display located at the front, and to keep operators from interacting with an active blade, it features a safety indicator light that shines red when the blade is spinning and green when it has come to a full stop.
