To simplify maintaining clean shelf surfaces, each of the Cambro CBA246084V4580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit's shelves is vented, encouraging airflow through their slotted designs and across their surfaces to eliminate moisture and dust buildup. This louvered design also provides even support for heavy bagged and boxed goods. The shelves can be wiped clean routinely, and they're removable for dishwasher use. The top shelf can hold 400 pounds, and the lower shelves each support 600 pounds, though this unit shouldn't be loaded with more than 1,800 pounds in total.

To increase storage space in crowded dishrooms, pantries, freezers, and coolers, the Cambro CBA246084V4580 add-on shelving unit can be attached to a Basics Plus starter shelving unit in L-, T-, or U-shaped configurations. Traverses, dovetails, and preassembled post connectors and wedges are included in this kit to expedite set up. If the unit is installed on uneven flooring or a sloped surface, the composite posts' leveling feet balance the add-on unit, reducing the risk of wobbling.

The add-on unit's polypropylene construction withstands temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit while resisting rusting and corrosion, meaning it can be stored in walk-in freezers and coolers, steamy dishrooms, and dry storage pantries. Resistant to mold, fungal, and bacterial growth, it's made with an antimicrobial agent.
