To add storage space to a Camshelving® Basics Plus unit, the Cambro CBA184264V5580 shelving add-on unit can be attached to an existing unit in U-, L-, or T-shaped configurations. Because the add-on unit is made of peel- and scratch-resistant polypropylene, it's safe to store in temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit. Preassembled post connectors and wedges, traverses, and dovetails are included with this unit to streamline its installation. Two composite posts support the five shelf plates, while leveling feet minimize wobbling on irregular surfaces. To complement the original shelving unit, it features a brushed graphite appearance.

All the Cambro CBA184264V5580 shelving add-on unit's shelves are vented, encouraging airflow through its slots and around product to eliminate moisture and dust accumulation. While the top shelf accommodates 400 pounds, the bottom four shelves can support 600 pounds each; overall, this unit has a 1,800-pound maximum capacity. Antimicrobial protection hinders bacterial growth between regular cleanings to prevent odors and stains that could impact storage quality. These plates are simple to wipe clean and can be washed in a dishmachine if desired.
