All five of the Cambro CBA244864V5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit's shelves are louvered to accommodate perishables and boxed and bagged goods properly. Air can move through the shelves' slotted surfaces, which helps eliminate dust and moisture buildup. The shelves can be wiped clean routinely to maintain clean storage areas, and they're removable for dishmachine washing when they need to be sanitized thoroughly. Each shelf is made of polypropylene, which resists rusting, corroding, peeling, and scratching to protect product. The top shelf can hold 400 pounds, while the lower shelves each support 600 pounds. When loaded to its full capacity, this unit shouldn't store more than 1,800 pounds.

Operators can attach the Cambro CBA244864V5580 add-on shelving unit to a Basics Plus shelving unit with the included post connectors and wedges, 10 traverses, and five bags of eight dovetails. For versatility, the add-on unit can be positioned in T-, L-, or U-shaped configurations to fit into limited-space storage areas. Its polypropylene construction is safe to store in temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit, meaning it's compatible with use in freezers, coolers, pantries, and dishrooms. The add-on unit measures 48 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 64 inches high, and two composite posts with leveling feet balance it on irregular ground. To match the starter unit, it features a brushed graphite appearance.
