To broaden the conditions in which the Cambro CBA245484V5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit can be stored, it's made of polypropylene, which can endure temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit and is safe for use in dishrooms, pantries, coolers, and freezers. This unit is meant to be added to a starter shelving unit in U-, L-, or T-shaped configurations. Traverses, dovetails, and preassembled post connectors and wedges are included to facilitate attachment. It measures 54 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 84 inches high and is balanced with leveling feet. To match the original unit, it's brushed graphite gray.

Though the top shelf can be loaded with 400 pounds and each lower shelf can support 600 pounds, the Cambro CBA245484V5580 add-on shelving unit is designed to hold 1,800 pounds when loaded to its full capacity. This five-tier unit consists of vented shelf plates. Their surfaces are slotted so air can move through the gaps and circulate around product, which helps reduce moisture and dust buildup to prevent product damage. An antimicrobial agent is integrated into the shelf plates, inhibiting mold, fungal, and bacterial growth. To ensure the shelf plates are cleaned properly, they can be wiped clean when needed or removed for dishmachine washing.
