For storing heavy product, small pieces of equipment, and boxed and bagged items, the Cambro CBA184284S5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus add-on shelving unit has a 1,800-pound capacity. Its top shelf can hold 400 pounds, while its four lower shelves each support 600 pounds. Because all the shelf plates are solid, they're ideal for irregularly shaped items that could fall through gaps in vented shelf designs. To maintain sanitary surfaces, the shelf plates can be wiped clean and washed in a heavy-duty dishmachine. The plates also are treated with Camguard®a'¬a€antimicrobial protection agent that inhibits bacterial or microbial growth to prevent stains and malodors.

The Cambro CBA184284S5580 add-on shelving unit includes preassembled post connectors and wedges, 10 traverses, and five bags of eight dovetails for streamlined installation to existing Camshelving Basics Plus shelving units. It can be configured in a T, U, or L shape to accommodate available storage space; due to its durable polypropylene construction, it withstands temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit for use in walk-in coolers and pantries. Two composite posts mounted on leveling feet help stabilize the unit on irregular surfaces to prevent wobbling. For uniformity, this add-on features a brushed graphite appearance.
